#LADonMe: Spring Essentials for a Writer

When it comes to personal style, the two things that matter to me the most are quality and comfort — they’re my prerequisites before choosing any outfit to start my day. As a freelance writer and personal stylist, I often find myself working from cramped cafes and thrifting at mom-and-pop shops looking for style inspiration, so I’m constantly on the go.

I never know where I’m going to end up, which means that stepping out in the right attire is crucial. I had the opportunity to hand-pick some items from the LAD spring collection that fit my lifestyle, and I want to share my picks to get you right this season.

The Casual Henley

When it comes to the shirt hierarchy, the henley is definitely two notches up from the plain tee. It’s perfect for a casual day and can even work for the office if worn with the proper bottom. The League Henley is one of my personal favorites, because it’s minimal, comfortable, and doesn’t take much effort to pair with anything; it just naturally goes with the flow. Got a dinner date? Throw it on under a blazer. Planning a weekend getaway? Step out in the League Henley with a bomber jacket. It’s a shirt that always has the answers.

The Harbor Pant

I never thought pants could be so comfortable and lightweight until I tried the Harbor Pant. The linen-cotton makes you comfortable, like you’re wearing a pair of chinos, but the tapered, slim fit is like your favorite, broken-in pair of denim. So, it’s really the best of both worlds. Plus, with the tubular drawstrings, there’s no need for a belt — one less thing to worry about when you’re on the move.
